Charlie was supposed to meet her Ex Boyfriend Seviathan and the Von Eldritch Family in Hazbin Hotel

One aspect of charlie’s lore that i’ve discussed in past shorts is her relationship with her ex boyfriend seviathan von eldritch.

Well originally this was meant to be explained in the full show. Let me explain.

During the scrapped 4th hazbin comic, charlie and vaggie would attend a dinner party hosted by the von eldritche family. Angel dust would be there, along with seviathan and helsa.

The image has a green aesthetic in the background, and it’s titled ex’s and ooh’s.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because it ended up being turned into season 2 episode 3 of helluva boss.

That episode took the name, the green aesthetic and also introduced millie and moxie’s ex chaz. Seviathan was always described as a massive jerk, so his personality was clearly given to chaz instead.

Personally i wish we had gotten the hazbin version instead. The von eldritch family seem like such cool characters, and it would be interesting to see how charlie would interact with her ex. What do you think? Let me know down below.

If we get a chance to dive deeper into Charlie past a little more during her teenage years and her life before the hotel it would definitely give us a taste of what it was like for her growing up in hell but having a different setting growing up unlike other hellborn

I think of it more like maybe Seviathan was nice to Charlie but a fearsome jerk to others at their highschool, mostly because that's how he was raised by his family and what he thought Charlie wanted him to act like, being Lucifer's daughter and all and wanting to measure up. Maybe Charlie made it clear she was interested in a more egalitarian partner instead of someone from a high status family, so falling for Vaggie who took to her despite not knowing who her family was, made it a huge bonus for Charlie because she would know that Vaggie didn't want to be her girlfriend just for the class and power status.

I think there's still plenty of opportunities for Seviathan to make an appearance, but I love that episode of Helluva, especially Millie's song. I think Chaz's plot line was way better for Moxie and Millie and any jealousy over an ex would be better for S2 or beyond Vaggie, S1 was really important for setting up her and Charlie's relationship.

Based on other things we know were probably gonna get to met them eventually, I do know they probably still got something planned for them in the show, but yeah that episode would have been great in hazbin hotel, specially cuz it would mean we will get to see more of Vaggie and Charlie ^^ but I can't wait to see hazbin new episode for them
