I wrapped up my orient express campaign in December 1994. That was the last time I really played call of Cthulhu until 2021 when I started a new 7th edition campaign, back where I started all those years ago with “edge of darkness”. Running Horror on the Orient Express was without a doubt one of the finest RPG experiences I have ever had and I’m tempted to pick up the new edition to do it all again with another group.

Received mine last week, it's amazing! Only question is: The masks reprint is a bit better, as it is in full color with a lot of handouts. This one is just black and white without handouts. Why this decision?

Was the choice made to not print any of this in color to keep the price down? This formatting and style looks indicative of far earlier Chaosium products, not really matching the style of 7th Edition, or the quality of production.

I've only played one-shots or small investigations that last at most two sessions. So, how the hell are the investigators supposed to last a whole campaign?

It is a pity the Orient Express will no longer exist as a thing in the world after this campaign, as it is just so destructive and would cause the ruin the entire European rail road system in its play..

It does have my favourite Cult though and I love the story, I just love I have to hand that to the writers and designers.
