did they ever actually add a ground plane ?? its so weird that such powerful software still doesn't seem to have the most basic default of a ground plane...or maybe I'm a dummy - how do they not look at their competition and just put in all the low hanging fruit options by default?

When I try the grass trick at 24:20, the grass only covers a few "faces" of my ground. It doesn't cover completely like yours did. Do you have any idea why that is? PS I'm a complete newbie to this. I made the house and basic terrain in Sketchup and imported it to D5.

I’ve moved from lumion to d5 cuz it’s faster to render and you can import material & model from quixel bridge easily. And the quality it is really depends on how good your 3d model is and how you tweak material, effect and environment.
