I know your pain... Remember trying to finish Nightmare compaign. Surprisingly I took Mortu down with Urogrim and Venomage. But as soon as you forget the nightmare campaign the horrors come back in doom tower hard... The multiple Mortu waves are the stuff of nightmares 😬

I only had the last level on Nightmare to do, I've been failing at it for so long. So I pulled out a Paragon from the vault, geared him up and tried him out with Ragash and did it first time!

I didn't need the sacred from NM for a long time, so I waited until I claimed Visix. A team of Scyl and Visix will trivialize every stage except the final one, so every player can eventually beat NM campaign without needing to pull any specific champs. For 12-7, you can switch Visix into your arena speed lead gear, or otherwise your highest speed gear, with some defense and health stats, and the plan is to put reduce speed on the boss and pound him with Visix's A1 while periodically throwing out provokes if Scyl fails to stun the adds.

I have tried all kinds of ways of building Paragon with all sorts of champs and still can’t beat that blasted final level with Mortu.

Thank you for the video. I am 2 years into the game. Mostly ftp and 3 starred everything but last level 6 months in. I used your strategy and it worked. I was worried I did not have any tanky nukers, but I was able to do it with Tolf easy enough. Thanks again.

on my first year of RsL, I didn't play any Nightmare Campaign.
on my second year, I didn't play it, until I got those quests on the Ramantu missions.
on my third year, I finished all the remaining stages on my first try. used Krisk and BEK.
so, my advice is to be patient and wait for the right time, don't waste energy

I used Ma'Shalled and Hurndig. Between the dmg output, Hurndig's little bit of turn meter control and the leech, it did the trick on the first try. I'm sure I got pretty lucky. Leading up to the final I was using man-eater and Hurndig and swapping a couple others in.

Thanks HH, This is what I needed to finish the last level also. Had the same 2 as yours, just not the HP as your walking. Never thought about using the CHEESE

I used Bivald and Soulless for most of NM 3s campaign. They worked well with the leech, healing, shield, remove buffs, stun, and provoke. Had Soulless in Retaliation set for his a1 stun to hit more. 12-7 was Paragon and Helicath; got the 3s on 1st try with that duo.

It's seems Mortu just trigger his Peril all the time, not 20%. I hate him, honeslty.

I EFFIN LOVE HH!!! Just did this strat after 2yrs plus in the game and annihilated nightmare 12-7!

Geomancer + Scyl make life so much easier, beat every stage soooo easy, fast and smoothly, including those of multiple Valkyries waves, or the multiple doompriests waves. Also, very fun to watch.
Geo's passive makes they kill themselves and he steals ALL the buffs. Valkyries shields or block damage, counterattacks, reflect damage buffs, are nothing for Geo my love.
That final boss did take me some tries, but it was no more than 5 tries. Geo steals his turn meter so it makes the round so much easier.
Didn't have to spend resources on Paragnon thanks to my sweet Geo.

Paragon + Helicath worked from first attempt on Mortu-Macaab :) Most of the nigthmare campaign Helicath goes through solo easy. Also Helicath is perfect on the Valc waves with him ignoring the shields on A1 and counterattack.

OMG! Came here thinking the Paragon Cheese was the only strat but then read in the comments that indirect hits on Mortu don't trigger his Peril. Also saw that someone else was suggesting using Scyl and Urogrim so gave them a go and Boom, I'm finally through! Seems to work best if you go after the adds first with all your direct attacks and only use your AOE's on Mortu until both adds are down. Urogrim has this awesome A3 where he drops continuous heals on himself and his allies while simultaneously dumping poisons on all enemies. Absolutely Brilliant!!!

I feel they should make it so people would want to Farm Nightmare! Campaign. Maybe get fragments for the Boss in Boss fights. Chance to get rotating list of Rare and Elite Characters there as well? Get Campaign maps so you can get a Lego for each faction with this setup. People would burn through energy for things like that. And if they want to go that bit extra ULTRA NIGHTMARE CAMPAIGN for more of everything. Including pain and frustration.
Great video as always. Paragon was what got me through Campaign.
