I defeated my fear of losing by stopping trading multiple pairs, and focusing on ONE instead. At some point I had settled on TWO, but I found even with those I would overthink because they were somehow correlated so every time I would be watching both and see one red and the other green I would be too worried about entering a trade on either one. When I finally settled on one pair my decision-making became a lot easier. Now I don't care what happens on other charts and as a result I'm not worried about losing like I used to. When you're trading two or more pairs you always have to choose which trade to enter, and whenever you chose one pair over the other and lose but watch the trade you didn't take go to your TP you only end up messing your psychology even more. I know we are all different, but I would recommend focusing on a single instrument for a while and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't work you can always go back to trading all the pairs you like.

One way I have overcome fear of losses is to reduce my risk percentage after a loss. I generally risk 1% on my first trade. If I lose that trade I will reduce my next trade down to 0.5%. If I lose a second trade the third trade I will reduce down to 0.25%. I will repeat this action until I have a winning trade and then I will slowly increase my risk percentage incrementally until I reach 1% again. This can save your account dramatically as well as your emotional and psychological capital. I generally take 2 to 4 trades a day. Even if my first trade is a winner I will reduce my risk on the second trade so that if it happens to be a loser I can still be profitable for the day. Most of my trades target anywhere from a 2:1–5:1 reward to risk.

I learned that crying won't stop losing.
Only a long breath will keep you a great trader.
Once I win, and once I lose In the end, it is our decisions that determine the winning balance.
Best wishes for all traders 👍🙏🏼

most of this times i missed out i was 99% sure of what i was doing and i already was in the trade but i got out because of fear of let the small profits go away again. now i missed out about 20% gain on my account because of fear

Great tips! This reminds me of the beginning of my trading journey. It was the boom of the Chinese stocks back in Summer/Autumn of 2007. I took EIGHT losses in a row in my LIVE $48K account. It would take me many years to recover emotionally and eventually find my way.

Fast becoming one of my fave yt channels, , so honest, , , , someone else said this but i backtest, ,i also make sure im in london and US sessions. And i see that you have bad weeks and good weeks, knowing this i dont get flustered at bad streaks, , and yep the fomo is real, but once again, , " backtest" not too far back tho. I have only been trading for a year and im finally overcoming these fears. I now scale in to a trade, once all my lots are in place, i leave the tradr alone.. and lookaway

If someone has a strict rules-based objective strategy that is consistent and repeatable then why would a prop firm Not just take that strategy and automate it or pay someone in another country perhaps much much less money to execute it for them?

Why don’t you trade less size and set small loss limit, even if you lose it wouldn’t affect you much size and loss size.

Most annoying part about trading is after you hesitate to take two trades which turn out to be winners, the third trade you take is always a loser.
