Mercury just passed the Sun for the last time until 2032. For the last time in this decade, Mercury has past in front of the sun in what's known as a transit- A rare chance to see the planet cross the face of our home star.

With roughly 13 transits of Mercury happening in an entire century, it's a rare treat indeed. Four of these events have occurred in this decade; now, we won't be getting another one until 2032. During this 2019 transit of Mercury, the innermost planet spent about 5.5 hours crossing in front of the sun from our perspective on Earth. Sky watchers around the world had the chance to witness the rare celestial event.

This was awesome to see and I was in awe of what I was seeing. Mercury is that little black dot. If everything could of went wrong that day, it did for me. I almost didn't get these shots and video. My camera broke right in the beginning of getting these shots and video. Not my main camera I use for photography, but one I use for my telescope. Luckily I had a backup and it worked out. Some parts you will see some shakiness, the wind started blowing and that is when my telescope started moving a bit on some of the video.

I realize when things are going wrong and everything is against you. I realize it's the very things in life that do go wrong and happen that you can overcome these very challenges that life throws at you. Never give up. When things are going against you in life, the most amazing things tend to happen right when you're about to give up.
