Awe, Katie, I’m so glad to hear you had a great experience meeting Misha Collins.

It’s funny how many people actually do diamond painting. Just recently my husband and I were having dinner at a restaurant and when our server came to the table I immediately noticed her name tag and saw she had drills around it. I said, “do you diamond paint?” And she said yes. So needless to say I had to pull up some pictures of mine to share 😊.

Glad to hear the convention went well. I had a similar thing happen to me at a Star Trek convention shortly after next generation started airing. I was working at a book store and the very first next generation novel had just come out in paperback and I was lucky enough to get one which I took to the convention with me. Johnathan Frakes was one of the guests and I was able to get his autograph in the book. He was really intrigued about the book as he hadn't heard of it. He even started to read it before the convention staff gently urged him to continue on to the next attendee. Made my weekend.

Holy cow, the older kit is so cool to see the difference and the wonderful things we have just gotten so used to that older kits are missing. I’ve just been her since February 2023 and it’s already changed leaps and bounds. Your Diamond Dotz dragon really did turn out pretty, I just would have hated opening it up to the frayed edges and black marks. I have really been spoiled with DAC I guess. As far as the different events, it’s kind of like entering and following rules that a company has for winning big commercial prizes. If I want to participate I just do my best to follow the rules so not to mess up. I signed up for that and it’s just part of the process. I must say Drills and Chills 2023 was an absolute blast the entire time. I was so excited for every Saturday to watch both your and Lindsey’s videos. It was something I looked forward to every week. It’s fun to hear how excited you got getting to go and take your diamond painting to be signed. Kudos to you for getting to go. Thanks for spending time with us while we paint. I always enjoy hearing about your kiddos and how well things are going. I have lived this and coming out the other side is so rewarding to see. 🐠🐡

Happy Monday! I'm taking a few days off of work this week, so I'm spending my days dotting away on Summer Nights. I think I'm going to join in the Ivy Dolamore event in May, so I may be working on some snack sized kits after Summer Nights, and while I await May. I'm glad you had a great time at the convention! I'm not a Supernatural fan, but I've been to some cons before. I had a photo op with Ian Somerhalder from The Vampire Diaries and OMG he's so sweet, not to mention handsome! I think walking away from him was the only time I've ever literally been weak in the knees ha!

I am right there with you regarding waiting for drills if you run out. I had that come up when I was only 1/2 way done with a kit. When I contacted the company, they suggested waiting until I was 80% done before filing a claim in case more colors ran short. The warranty only covers 2 claims, so I didn’t file a claim. I was frustrated because I didn’t feel it was plausible to recall everywhere that I left waiting for drills and knew there would be missing ones. I too dug through my leftover drills.

Thanks for sharing all the cool things you have been doing. The old kits are fun to see all the improvements DAC has implemented since that kit was made.
Regarding the Events and the “I have no respect for others” people, All I have to say is ...🙄... people can just not participate and take their selfish laziness with them!...🙄.
Your kids are awesome and love to hear updates on their progress through life. Keep up the great work you are doing on your channel! You are an inspiration to others. 🐡🐠🐟😊

Hi Katie x 🪸 it sounds like you had a wonderful time and there was a great atmosphere.
It's wonderful you had time with your mum. I so miss mine. I'd of lived sharing a hobbi with her. She was a knitter and registered blind. She would have an amazing magnifier on a pair of glasses and I still don't get how she knew if she had gone wrong.
I love seeing older kits and the old set up. I'm hoping to see it complete.
I love hearing about Adam and the kiddos, it feels more friendly if that makes sense. My brother in law has ADHD and has his own little ways. My nephew is 16 and autistic they are now assessing my eldest and youngest nieces to see if they also have special characters.

I did an older DAC (not that old but in the time when they were making changes) and shockingly ran out of one color. I was sure I needed a lot more so I went on Amazon and purchased the Art Dot set of drills. Yeah that was a waste of time and money as I needed 2 whole drills😅. It was a leaf and I could have used any other green that I had plenty of. There were lots of leaves left in my defense, and I use opaque release paper so I assumed that color was going to be in them. Oh well you live and learn. 🐡🐠
