The Vancouver Canucks got their first win with new coach Bruce Boudreau as they blanked the Los Angeles Kings 4-0.

Demko being a beast as usuall, but with a team in front of him with energy and guts to take chances makes the outcome so much different. Easily feels like the best game the Canucks played all season.

Those young guys all were playing for the wrong guy. An offensive coach who advocates for the players is what these guys needed. Bruce is good for us.

Really happy that the Canucks won this game. Their fan base desperately needed a dominant win like this. Boudreau is just what they need I think. Still too early to say that definitivley but it looks very promising.

I have been a canucks for over 20 years and never have i felt such a rollercoaster of emotions, even more so when we lost in the stanley cup finals, I hope this means brighter days ahead.

This is a hell of an entrance for a coach to make. i am stoked! This season got very interesting.

Bruce will teach these kids how to play in the D zone and neutral zone. Look at tonight the team played completely different in 4-0 win.

Way to early to be giving Boudreau a bunch of credit but the Canucks looked like a completely diffrent team except for some sloppy turnovers theyve been doing all year. Good first step though.

It’s just one game, but Boudreau completely changed this Canucks team. We’re shooting, generating chances, playing defence, & actually skating. Also keep petey on the PK, he didn’t look half bad 😆

I did like what Boudreau said in this press interview. He wants the top players to shoot. He doesn't want them to be "cute with the puck". He's totally right, I hate all that finesse-handling players do. Listen, when your confidence is down, stick-handling means nothing. They need to SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT, and they'll get their confidence back with goals. I'm glad we saw more shooting right out of the gate.

With Pettersson and Boeser it’s all about confidence. They still have the ability to shoot the puck. But they have next to no confidence with the puck. They’re both looking to pass rather than shoot immediately. The only way out of this is to just shoot from everywhere and get some goals like tonight - off legs.

Anyone else really happy for Lammiko? Him and Demko have a bromance which is odd since they would have spent tons of time together.
I thought that was Myers best game as a nuck and that PK was the best I've seen in years here, they are going to get a lot of shorties this season if they play like that.
I know most don't agree but Benning has left us with a very good core, his mistake was loyalty to TG.
