Tbf I heard IKeepItTaco say that a lot of games were won or lost in other lanes before ADC could become relevant, and even if ADC got a lot of gold, other roles just needed to do comparitively less to have the same impact throughout thr game.
Not in anyway an unskilled role, but a role that has a heavily muted impact in the chaos of ranked

As a master adc i see where he is coming from, it does feel like the game is playing itself when you're on adc, but it also means your impact on the game is low

It's the easiest role because you never have control of the game. You just have to wait until your team puts you into the position to carry.

Let a Brusier get fed and they press ghost and get two-three kills.

Let a Mage get fed, they will press R and someone *will* explode.

If an Adc gets fed (most likely because of jg) you still depend on your team to get any value. Because you could be 2 items up and a Zed will flash ult you...

I want to see Azzap hit Challenger with actual ADC champs. I feel like everyone thinks ADC is easy until they actually try it themselves.

Position well.... cause you die to everything in the game. Adc is by far one of the hardest role to climb cause you have the least amount of map impact until you're fully scaled.

It's crazy how easy it is to ADC in Masters+. After the early game you literally perma clear waves mid and hover where your team hovers.

ADC is the hardest role to maintain mental on. You're the most team reliant role and if you're ever behind your own team will snuff you out of farm. If you are strong but your team doesn't play around it is also tilting, seeing your whole team dive the enemy backline exposing you to every threat imaginable.


Playing ADC is pretty easy, being an ADC is hard.

you must understand especially in low elo, when the “support/jg” doesent know wtf tempo is there is nothing to respond to. Like prio in botlane when they should be at drag. I can have prio at the correct times for obj, but when jg is never there we dont get it because we cant have prio 100% of the time. Therefore the role becomes even harder to play/win consistently in

And the problem is when you try to farm without dying, your support is perma gone. You sit under tower lose xp and gold while 3 people shit on you. You leave tower to not die and suddenly your first, second and third tower are gone. Open inhib. Your entire team walks around like apes (~250 LP Masters EUW).

I've played ADC since S1. It was my 2nd most played role (top > adc > jng > mid > sup) until S9, and it is still my 3rd most played role (sup > top > adc > mid > jng). I've played tons of ADC at every ELO.

Players who say ADC gets carried at high ELO and has no agency there are lacking as ADC players or are talking about that subset of ADC players. ADC absolutely can be relevant in both early and in mid-game, if you don't one-trick and adjust what you buy to the game you are in. Too many ADC players have one build for one champion, and never adjust... so as they climb and opponents adjust to them, the ADC player's unwillingness to adapt bites them.

As an example, you can build Lucian to kill tanks.

I would say that once you hit some of the higher ELOs, this is true, but for low ELO, ADC is just weak. Unless you are several tiers of skill above your opponents, you just cannot do anything.

I think about this way, if you take support main and make him play any other role he will suck, if you take player from any role and make him play support he will play on the same level as support mains on his elo, or better, excluding 1% of suppors that are actually good and know when to roam and when to go back on bot, have decent mechanics and dont use adc as a fcking meatshield (im talking about master elo)
