When the market goes down then it's buying opportunity. If the market goes up then you are making money. If you stay invested and ignore the market's ups and downs, you'll make a lot of money in the long run; however, a severe market correction causes a lot of margin calls and sell-offs, driving the market even lower. currently, I'm up 13% in my diversified portfolio. As crazy as it sounds some still make enormous returns from this seemingly unknown market. gotta be greedy when others are fearful

It's easy to be an investor during the good times. It's hard to be an investor during the hard times. If you want to be a successful investor, YOU MUST be able to master your emotions and continue to invest in both types of markets. Especially when assets are on sale.

Buy 10% of existing stock holding for every 10% fall for blue chip
And 15/20% fall for non blue chip
Avoid free falls
Start with small initial investment

When market reverses, sell 10% of stock for 10% rise.

Buying on Dips is the right strategy.
But the problem ia that investors already loose all their money when the market falls as the stocks they had purchased earlier are at rock bottom price .
And now they do not have any extra funds to invest at the time of falling market.
I am sure this has happened with many of the investors here.
