It’s pretty funny how someone so intelligent and who believes there should be cooperation and unity in finding out the universe in one case, and in another not so much; Einstein thinks WWI is shameful because it separates and diminishes our ability to find out what matters in the universe, but at the same time he wants to find them out first and not be “scooped.” It’s important I suppose to remember Einstein as a genius but more important to remember he wasn’t doing everything alone. It would be nice to see us one day have more appreciation for collective than “individual” work; it would be nice to see us stop idealizing individual people.
