World of Warships - Armada: Tirpitz

Tier VIII Premium battleship Tirpitz, of the Kriegsmarine, is in the game and we shine a spotlight on her in today´s edition of Armada.

I have around 40 books that one of my granddad collected, it was all about ww1 and 2, but half of them were lost after he died in 1955, Luckily i still have 1 of his historical books, he was also a veteran, He died at aged 87 :(

My dad bought me the Tirpitz (in World of Warships) last year, at 45 Euro. In my opinion, this time, it's a much more reasonable price, especially due to its advantages. I absolutely love that ship. I used to think the Tirpitz and the Bismarck were the same, they're not: Tirpitz offers a slightly larger HP pool and torpedoes, while Bismarck offers better AA defense and Hydroacoustic Search. If you have a Tirpitz, and you want it for an AA build, to be on par with your counterparts, you first need to: 1. Install AA Guns Modification 2, which significantly improves the AA defense, from 53 to 63 (according to the current statistics) 2. Use a catapult fighter more often, while collecting points for your captain. 3. Earn enough XP for the skills Basic Firing Training (increasing the AA statistic from 63 to 69) and Advanced Firing Training, boosting the AA defense from 69 to 81 (the key upgrade to the AA defense). And 4. To top it off, collect enough XP for the skills Superintendent and Expert Marksman.

I have bought the tirpitz and the first time i saw her i was in love. If i was in a fisher boat and saw this ship's guns pointing at me i would probably shit my pants.

No! The Bismarck was NOT sunk by a torpedo. I know, the Brits keep saying that but it is not true. The german crew sunk it by opening the flood valves because the situation was hopeless. The Torpedoes of the Brit cruiser did no damage to the hull at all.

1. They fight no close range battles lol, 20-30km is normal i think.
2.Bismarck was not sunk by a torpedo.The Crew sunk the ship after hours of fighting.Look James Cameron docu he cant find a hole at Bismarcks hull.

Watching these videos, seeing them refer to Tirpitz as having 38mm guns, and watching all the HE they fired in this, I cringed a lot.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it wasnt a long range torpedo that damaged the Bismarcks rudder, but a plane-dropped one

JESUS WG should get thier facts right, 1 the Bismarck class battleships were NOT narrow (120foot beam), 2 GUNS 8X15inch main guns 2000lbs shell (range 42000 yds) rate of fire 3 rds per minute(fastest rate of fire of ANY battleship).3 speed 30.6knts. 4 Armour max 350mm thick (double hull design), and remember the Germans also designed larger more powerful battleships ie H39 60000t (approx) H42 90000t(approx) H44 155000t(approx

The tirpitz saw quite some airraids as she was stationed in norway and was even sunk by aircraft
