Loved that whole pepper thing, I totally get it! When you have quality spices, it's like your food rises on a whole other level. I like investing in fancy spices, too, because then I can cook pretty much anything and make it taste more elevated, if that makes sense. When it comes to pepper and salt(I use Himalayan), I put them into refillable ceramic grinders and buy some back-up spices as well, this way I could never run out on these two and the fun part about refillable grinders is that you can mix spices in them and make your own favorite combos.

Pepper tip- toast the whole pepper corns on low until you hear the first crackle. It releases the aromatic oils! It smells and tastes amazing! It really ups the flavor when ground :)

this week i have three video chats with friends and i kinda feel overwhelmed! lol. i work from home normally so this kind of "socializing" during the week feels very alien. ;-) but it is absolutely a welcome change. it was high time we remembered what *true* connection feels like.

My favourite right now is pretty frivolous- i found that when i'm not going out much i love this all over the lid bright colour look and do it almost every day now. One day it's sky blue, then it's coral-orange, then bright green. I feel so pretty when i do those, and so fun. My clothes don't change much, it's always some jeans and some black t-shirt or the one hoodie i have, but those really bright eyeshadows really bring me joy lately. And it feels good to know i really used them, most days i go for something more subdued and those colours feel like too much. But i want to be too much right now. Might paint my lids bright green and go for a walk in the forest rn. Forest is another favourite lately. It's good to live by some nature, there are leaves sprouting everywhere now, i love to see things grow

My list includes: dog snuggling my legs right now, husband working in the other room, stacks of books to be read, the sound of wind through Norway spruce trees, rain pattering on the roof, playing Words with Friends with my mom, organizing projects, really good coffee.
