Rubber Soul is definitely one the Beatles best Albums and Nowhere Man is a lovely song!

"Nowhere Man" is timeless and will always be "relateable".

McCartney's bass lines are so damn melodic. Every level of these guys work just hit on all cylinders.

Harrison's great ringing guitar solo with an overtone tone at the end of the solo. The worst feeling is KNOWING what you want to do and either not getting there, or losing yourself and spirit and soul on the way. And you end up pushing a broom to clean up the mess....welcome to the Gerbal Wheel....

To understand Nowhere Man JAYY, you need to understand John Lennon's frame of mind in the autumn of 1965. By then the Beatles had amassed such fame and fortune that John was forced to invest his earnings, or lose them to the confiscatory tax laws in Great Britain at the time. In mid-July of 1964 John bought an estate in the stockbroker belt in Weybridge, about 17 miles outside of London. John, Cyn and young son Julian could live relatively peaceful lives away from the mania that was the Beatles lives in London. It also isolated John. He discovered Jaffa Cakes (a British cookie made with a sponge cake base an orange filling topped with dark chocolate-quite tasty) and put on quite a bit of weight over the next year. Feeling alone, and overweight he decided one morning to write a song, but got nowhere with his efforts. Frustrated he went and had a lie down. Lying their and contemplating his life, John realized he had become a "Nowhere Man, sitting in his nowhere land". The rest of the song came very quickly after that. Best wishes and I am very happy you've brought the Beatles back to your channel. Cheers, RNB

John was singing about himself during a particularly down time for him early in the group's career (after fame had really taken hold and he felt lost).

I love it when you guess the lead on Beatles songs because you are correct almost always. Amazing!!

Bask in the day, (high school) we bought the album and listened to the whole thing, not one song at a time. The Beatles were growing up along with their fans, so personal songs such as this made The Beatles very relatable. Great reaction, dear!

One of my favorites along with Can't Buy Me Love and Help. This reminds me of my childhood. My cousin who was 4 yrs older collected Beatles records and my sisters and I enjoyed playing those records when we went to his house. We saw the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan show from there. It was fun watching history change after that. The guitar on this adds perfection.

One thing that always impressed me about the Beatles is that not all their music sounds the same. Another thing I like is that most of the lyrics make you think....

This is the first song John wrote that wasn't about a girl or love or romance. You can just imagine his state of mind.

What a great song and yeah, I've been there as well. I love the harmonies on it especially at the end and I love Paul's bass guitar line and I love the snare work that Ringo is doing there

Correct John 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 If people get annoyed by you guessing wrong just ignore them. Hopefully most are just trying to help you identify who’s singing the lead, it can be very difficult at times with the Beatles, especially when you’re just getting exposed to them.

That's the genius of John Lennon on display in this song, Jayy. It's one of his most introspective songs and one of my favorites from the Fab Four. I've been requesting for this one for a while and I'm glad you finally got a chance to hear it. We all can relate to this song; we all will feel like the Nowhere Man or Woman at times. John has said it could have been about anyone, himself included. I hope you will give a listen to "We Can Work It Out" in the near future, another of the band's very best recording.
