Camping with an AllPowers Power Station: Off Grid Perfection?

Today I'm showing you my recent camping trip where I powered my trailer, fridge, laptop, toaster and lights with an AllPowers R1500 (or R2500) power station and an extra B1000 add-on battery. I also show the portable solar panel recharging the batteries as well. This is a really nice solution to provide AC power separate from the trailers 12V battery. I especially like that the two separate batteries are much easier to lift and move around. You definitely want more than one solar panel if going long-term off grid. For just a weekend, the second B1000 battery could be all you need.

Note that the R1500 I reviewed is sold out and now upgraded to the R2500 with 2000Whrs of capacity, even better!

Nice explanation about the power ratings.
Alternate note, for some reason your audio is louder in portrait mode on my iPhone in the YouTube app than it is in landscape mode. Other videos I watch aren’t doing that. Try it, see if you notice as well. Might be in your audio recording settings.

I have the R1500 and 2 expandable batteries from Allpowers Canada. I also have the 400 watt solar panel from Allpowers and I get up to 370 watts out of it, but it is a beast coming in at 46 lbs but to me, worth it. On windy days, and we get lots of them, I have never had it blow over. I mostly use this setup for camping. I have a small RV with no air conditioning, and I plug the Allpowers R1500 directly into the 30 amp connection using a change over. I do bring 1 or 2 expandable batteries with me depending on how long I will be camping. I can run my small RV, a Geo Pro 12SRK with furnace, 3 way fridge, microwave, TV-stereo for a few days on just the R1500. The expandable batteries are for when there is no sun or rainy weather. I keep a the batteries in the bed of my truck under a hard cover to keep them out of the weather. This system works great for me and allows me to camp anywhere. As far as their customer service I have had to contact them a few times and the issue was easily fixed. This system does what I need it to do and the price point within my budget. Oh, I have had the R1500 for a 1 1/2 years and the expandable for 6 months and no concerns as of yet, but time will tell. Nice review.

I have the same one, after 8 months won’t hold charge via ac or solar. The factory warranty is kicking balls.
