I wish that more guitar shops in the USA had these in stock to try before buying one. They look and sound amazing!

Are you sure about the switch settings? On most vigiers the middle position is a split neck/bridge

middle position is not middle pickup but neck + bridge in single coil mode,

This review is the best I've seen so far.

Would love to get my hands on a Vigier to try one out. Unfortunately no stores carry them in southern California!

You should use a better amp for the test like a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier or Bogner Ecstasy. A cheap amp does no justice to a 5k custom guitar.

Vigiers are great guitars! I do live in France, but due to it's price range, even here they are rare (hard to try).

And if you can, try their Basses, they are exceptional!

Guitar Interactive Magazine. I've heard the action is "by nature, " incredibly low. Low, and not really designed for a higher action. I haven't played a low-action electric in years but am in love with the Mysterious Green Vigier.

So - how low is low in this case?

Never heard of them before but it looks and sounds great.

The switching should be this:

1 Humbucker in neck position
2 Single-coil in neck & middle position
3 Single-coil in neck & bridge position
4 Single-coil in bridge & middle position
5 Humbucker in bridge position

ALL three pickup guitars should actually have a 7 position switch! They should include the bridge pickup and the neck pickup AND ALL three pickups together to make 7 positions!

Can you still do behind the nut bends with those flex retainers?

I became aware of this guitar watching Tina S.  I want an Excalibur.

No truss rod worries me a lot in these Vigier guitars as my tech has seen warped necks on older Vigier and they cannot be repaired!

Would be amazing if the bridge was recessed, but unfortunately they don't make any like that, except for ones with locking nuts. Count me out.

Why is this 2k more than a Jackson, Ibanez, Fender or ESP custom shop guitar? What makes it more special than other shredder custom shop guitars?

Things I would change about this:
1.-Neck Joint: Get out of the 1940s already, you have carbon fiber, why can't you round the joint? EBMM figured it out.
2.-The bridge setup. It has to be carved to go both up and down.
