The reason why you can't retrofit HW4 onto older vehicles is because doing so would require lots of new components because the computer itself is also different in shape and has different mounting. However when FSD is complete HW3 should already be capable of full self driving, HW4 just adds a radar for the S/X and has higher quality cameras. The Model 3 refresh should include a bumper camera as I see a camera on the bumper in the leaked photo.

The best way to get an upgrade to your desk lights to buy a new one stop trying to write upgrade the computer when it’s easier if you just replace the entire vehicle
