I like both board games and miniature war games so having the option to bling out a board game is awesome. I really appreciate the artistic aspect of games and not just the mechanisms.

Solid playthrough!

My only feedback on this prototype: That sundrop on the ships, workers, and buildings needs an overhaul. They looked like burnt chicken in a BBQ pit.

If you want feedback, I wish the miniature of the market and town hall (i think that's the name of the other one) are jncluded in the pledge levels that do NOT have all the building miniatures. I don't feel the need to have a mini of each building but these two, in the central board, add positively to the experience and (specially the market) serve a purpose.

You just casually dropped this great playthrough video 😮😊 I backed the special edition and really want the acrylic tiles but can't justify the price.

My major complaint is the box size, I got an instant reaction even at the start of the video. It was the main reason I did not get Castles of Burgandy. If that is the only size of box on offer than I am not the target audience, and I like this game as well as CoB.

My favourite version is still the one based on the limited anniversary edition (with additional illustrations on the buildings).

I'm getting the new version without the miniatures. I like the new artwork, double layer boards etc. i was glad that they did a not fully blingedbout version on the crowdfunder. Impressed with your zoom in bits on the boards. I've not seen that before have you got a new camera or new editing tricks?

The biggest pull of this crowd funding was a new print of San Juan. I think it was like 20 buck as an add-on. What a bargain for a great card game.

This is the first time I've seen a reprint with so over-the-top components that I not only think I'll have no use for them (Thanks for the minis Phalanx, but no) ... But that I'm actively happy for my brown colonist cubes.

Why do the characters on the player boards look like they have a massive sunburn 🥵?
I love the game (it introduced me to the hobby back in the days), I have played it well over 30 times and own the OG version (with "indigo"!) + a small expansion box with more buildings which I have only played once, and I will keep it and pass on this one... The main reason is the size of the box (my biggest beef on the Castle of Burgundy Special Edition, which I have...). It's enormous and I can tell it won't fit in my kalax shelves. I don't see the need to buy the standard edition (smaller box), I think if you're gonna buy this, the special edition is the one to pick if you don't want to die of FOMO. I enjoyed your components section, nice videos of the boat up close!

If this would be one of my favorites game, that I like to play a lot, I would buy this version. The faces of the people on the players boards still intrigue me... Are they happy or just pretending to be happy?...🤔

Great game ... but the 40ish$ 2022 reprint is more than adequate having all the expansions so far (of which the only one really good is the "new building" one). The special overpriced and overproduced GF edition is definitely not worth it and it actually hinders gamplay if one played with the building miniatures as well.
