Salt Lake City Workshop: Dealing with Drought

This roundtable discussion at the Utah workshop of the Western Governors’ “Working Lands, Working Communities Initiative” will highlight the effects of persistent drought on western communities and ecosystems and seek solutions to mitigate drought effects. The Initiative of Idaho Governor and WGA Chair Brad Little is gathering federal, state and local policymakers and stakeholders to discuss emerging issues, share success stories, and provide a forum for the development of bipartisan strategies that support improved cross-boundary land management, mitigate wildfire risk and restore ecosystems. The first workshop of the Initiative is being hosted by Gov. Spencer Cox in Salt Lake City.
