Sad, but both families will get back what they paid and then some (IVF is hella expensive). Good thing both are still newborns and back with their correct families. .

Well the ending is happy! They each had a baby. So it could've been worse

I couldn't give up my baby, regardless of whom the biological parents were. Carrying the baby, giving birth, meeting him/her at the moment they're brought in to this world would be sufficient. There's no way I could switch. This is such a terrible story, and you can't be upset at either parents for what they choose to do. That would be so difficult though...

I've worked in IVF for 16 yrs and this is mind blowing considering all of the checks that are required before any embryos creation, as they're stored, thawed and finally transferred.
This is heart breaking and my prayers go out to these families.

How insane. Thing is if you carried the baby full term. That baby grew inside you. Then heard you daily, felt what you felt. How would that effect the child? Wow. I would have the child be part of my life at least. This is truly important to follow and see how this mentally, physically, effects these children.

Sure they will get their money back and sure they will get extra money from the suit, but she still can’t bring back that time that you missed with your biological child, and the trauma of the child that you have loved for a few months. Those are permanent scars that no amount of money can make up

That is sad but I’m surprised….I would imagine this would bring two special mother’s together with two amazing babies to love that have a special bond.
Accidents happen but maybe for a reason. I guess it is only what you make of it.

i particularly like the bit when they said the baby came out way darker at which point her husband backed up against the wall, nothing like unconditional love he must have thought the brothers had been running a train

When are corporations going to stripped of limited liability status? The Era when companies meeded limited liability to encourage investment and entrepreneurship has passed and now companies act knowing shareholders have no liability ie are impune from accountability. This story has the doctor facing a lawsuit. How about corporations that commit crime after crime and pay fines like the cost of business?

Not from you but grown and bought to life by you, lady
Doctors are human.
Think of it this way maybe your own daughter didn't that want to be with you.
The soul in heaven made the mixed up happen so she wouldn't have to run away decades later

Play a lot of catch up? How long did it take to get the real kid back. Wasn't it born like a week early? It's not like they're showing up for the first time at the kids 18th birthday party. A couple weeks to a baby that's literally been alive that exact amount of time is nothing. You don't even retain memories of that period of life. Also... They repo'ed the baby she carried. That's the weird part. Maybe I'm crazy but I would think the mom's would want to keep the ones they carried.
