Not only did Casey Jr almost hit Tod, but he absolutely hit Chief. I also laughed at the part where Dumbo looked out and saw Chief on the ground. I wonder if he also saw Cooper get mad at Tod? If he had, I wouldn't be surprised if Dumbo then covered his face with his ears.

As kinda goofy as it was, the editing was very well done and actually had a little more weight to it! Really makes one wonder if Casey Junior, one of the star staples of Walt integrating his love for trains and railroads, had a slight cameo in specific railroad related themes in older movies that had a train involved (be it minor or major). Would really make the whole animated world feel a little more stitched together like the real world with continuity. Plus the music really added to this scene somehow, which also made it a little more heavier. Phenomenal work on this!

Both films take place in America and are set in two World Wars (The Fox and the Hound is set in the mid 1910’s during World War 1, due to the old fashioned cars and Amos’ long johns, whereas Dumbo takes place in March of 1941 during World War 2, making it the first Disney animated film to take place in the same time period it was first released into theaters)

And I haven't seen Dumbo in a while but correct me if I'm wrong : This wasn't actually Dumbo's train, was it ?
