Worried about your teen's mental health? Here are some of the early warning signs, says Arley Tucker, a therapist with Teen Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) at Center for Family Services. Teen Triple P is FREE for Palm Beach County families.

Some of the top things you should look for:

* If they start isolating themselves.
* If their hygiene is lacking.
* If their grades drop.
* If they avoid conversations.
* If they start overreacting to situations or problems.
* If there are changes in any of their everyday patterns like sleeping and eating.

Remember, you know your child best, Tucker says. If you think something is wrong, something probably is wrong. Talk to them and don't be afraid to seek professional help like Tucker and the therapists at Teen Triple P.

Teen Triple P is a FREE program for Palm Beach County families that offers one-on-one sessions to address teen behavior and issues. The program is designed to strengthen the parent-child relationship and create an open line of communication.
