This MMO is Addictive, BUT... PAX DEI Alpha Impressions

I playtested the Alpha of PAX DEI, a new sandbox MMO by Mainframe. These are my first impressions after spending about 50 hours in the game as a solo player.

Good observations, especially about attention.

I was lucky to have a decent clan, and I was happy to feed the kilns and forges in exchange for some decent gear I couldn't jave made myself.

I hope our clan gets into the next Alpha session, but I agree with you there needs to be more to be engaged.

i think your point about attention n time is kinda valid but its mmo survival, not solo survival.. so if your determined to play it solo it will just be harder and take more time. if they make things faster it will mean groups (the social aspect its designed for) will progress too fast and there'll be no achievement for the building or crafting.

You can just hold down the mouse button to chop trees or mine, don't have to keep clicking

In my opinion, wouldn't it be easier for a solo player to just not build? I get that a solo player might want to build their own little base of operations. However, that would cut the time in half for you to actually get out and do the MMO side of things faster, no?

It's a survival game.. If someone can't take your stuff after killing you or you dying from a mob what is the point? To play friendly fun times? No..
