How To Retrofit Power Folding Mirrors On BMW F30/F31/F32/F20/F21

In this video I will show you how to retrofit power folding mirrors + auto dim function.
My car came pre-equipped with light sensor and interior auto-dim, now I have added exterior auto dim mirrors + power folding.

Difficulty: Easy-Medium

This retrofit requires coding, you need to code S430 option via E-Sys (No, it can't be done via Bimmercode or any other mobile app)
If you want to fold in/out on the single press on key fob, you need to code it as well.
(From the factory is long press on the key fob)

Coding:
- Connect your car with E-Sys via VIN (It doesn't have to be Pro)
- Add "430" option to SALPA element in FA
- Write FA/FP
- Code FEM
- Done

I successfully retrofitted the following mirrors for my 2015 F22 coupe. I just followed your instruction and found only few differences between F30 and F22. In my case, it’s not necessary to remove the glovebox (removing the lower panel gives enough space). And the location of the ground point in the passenger door was a little bit different but pretty easy to find it.
I think I couldn’t have done without your video.

Finally done this retrofit on my F32 2019 model. Watched this video 1000 times. Took me about 8 hours of troubleshooting and finding the right places to wire things into. But got there in the end. I found the crimping of the wires the most difficult bit funnily enough and the routing wires as didn’t have the right tools. Got there in the end. Just need to do the coding and all complete! Thanks a bunch you’re a saint for this video!!!

Thank you for this I. Managed to complete in only 2 days 😂😂 I mistakenly plugged to power wire & k-lin the wrong way round, I thought I had a major fault as by doing this knocked out all power to driver’s door. 1 day later & checking virtually all fused relays, I did a complete wire chase almost as if I was starting again, this mirror plug was the last chek & found my stupid error! Swapped two wires over & perfect!👏👏 😮‍💨

Hello. I have a 2017 320i and I just purchased the mirrors and switch. Will I have to do the same thing on the passenger side like u did as well? I do have memory/power seats on my car. This looks a little more involved than I thought. Lol. Now that I have the parts I’m a little worried about the passenger connections.

Just completed the Power Mirror retro and found that the 3 spare wires on passenger side all end up at the drivers switch. You just need to splice Power Lin and Earth onto them and code work great.
