1 dead in Palmdale crash

A violent collision in Palmdale ended with a semi truck resting atop a smashed car, leaving a person dead and another hospitalized.

People never give trucks distance. They cannot brake fast and will plow into you. Very sad and tragic.

Big rigs can't stop fast. Most likely the car cut in front of him too close and the truck couldn't stop fast enough.

Judging by the way the truck is sitting on the right shoulder, it looks like the car drifted onto on coming traffic and slammed into the rig.

as I was coming from the real estate office I work for Century 21 Amigo, I was going home and went down serria Hwy and I usually turn on to N and there was the crash, I didnt see any fire trucks, or ambulances there, I could tell it was bad. So maybe the ambulance had come before I was there at avenue N. That was around 4:15 pm. SO SAD for the families loss.

Looks like the car tried to pass somebody on the fast lane. Didn't measure his distance properly when he swerved into the truck's lane, performing a pit maneuver on himself right in front of the truck's unstoppable path. This forced the now merged couple off the road and into a light pole. That's my assumption. Looks like a beamer too so it was probbly speeding.
