Amber, a fossilized tree resin

Показать описание
Amber is a fossil of natural resin and a gem. At high temperatures and under high pressure the terpene and natural resin included in sap undergo chemical changes including oxidation, evaporation, and polymerization. The amber is so light in weight that it has a property which floats on salty water. The following story is about ancient Greece. People at that time called the amber “electron”. Finally, I’ll tell about a story of Germany. The amber has a property which burns. Because of this property, the amber is called bernstein ” in Germany, which translates to burning stone ” in English. Having these properties, it has a variety of common names.
