On this flight with the DJI Avata I gave the head tracking feature a try. I can see why it's useful, but also requires a lot of practice. I must admit it made me a little dizzy!

I'm so glad to see you using the avata more now. You've definitely improved so much. i would love to get the avatar, but i wouldn't know how much it would get used. I wish i knew someone with one to try to see if i would enjoy it. Great video as usual Marcus look forward to see some more videos with the avatar 😁👍👌 🇬🇧

Holy cow! If I was doing that I would be so nauseous! I guess I'm spoiled having the DJI camera gimbal take out all the side to side, and fore and aft motion of the drone. It is neat to watch you do that, but it is definitely not for me. I don't think I would be able to drive home after flying like that. Thanks for taking one for the team, Marcus!

Marcus, great flying with head tracking. I noticed you didn’t look down; I’m anxious to see you practice and more till we see you flying with head tracking and flying through gaps, especially the stairs/ramps at the school. You could become an expert at head tracking while flying through gaps, with enough practice. One other comment, let’s see you jumping the dirt ramp on your electric bike, you could set up multiple drones and jump them, Evil Knieval style, LOL.😊

Okey dokey!!! 😂 Glad you are venturing into Head Tracking 👏🏻👏🏻. MC1 you’d need head tracking (my set up). No option to achieve that without the mc2.

Nice demo of the head tracking feature of the Avata. I have never tried, and really not interested in it, seems a lot like headless mode on my older camera drones. I never found a need for that either. I don't fly the Avata enough to get the practice in that would be required get good at heading tracking. Great video, and thanks for sharing.

You Avata guys are a special breed. The noise and goggles are not for me. I don’t even like to use headphones or earbuds as I feel claustrophobic. I am also confused about what the FAA rules are for flying with goggles. Take care, bud.

Is there any practical use for doing this. I am kind of old and I am wondering what advantages this technique brings to the table.

Hi Marcus. I have a question about the Air 3. Why is it that when I fly and record an 8 minute clip or a long clip that when I get it into my computer, the clip gets segmented into 2 videos? I'm not an editor and don't care to be. I want to be able to watch my flights in one video. Not Two. Please help
