Takis Hadjigeorgiou is a Member of European Parliament from Cyprus. Before being elected he worked as a journalist, was Managing Director at a Cypriot radio station and had his own TV talkshow. In the European Parliament he is the vice-chair of the Group European United Left - Nordic Green Left, and a Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). He fights to improve freedom of speech and freedom of information for European citizens, and for the implementation of those freedoms in the digital environment.
