I love how Helen instead of scolding violet about the jet crash or reminding her that she’s the older child with more responsibilities, she Helen reassured her that its ok for not able to make a big force field around it. She’s a great mom and an amazing superhero

I love how Helen adds emphasis into saying "Do not give them that chance" when she turns her gaze to Dash. She knows her son is competitive and cocky, so she wants him to understand that hero work is very dangerous and not a game. This is the real world and Helen wants her children to use their powers if they are faced with real danger.

It was heartwarming despite the frustration and desperation back on the jet, Helen was willing to forgive Violet and even apologized for pushing her too hard when she needed more confidence and practice with her powers. It all took that to help Violet’s character development into the hero she needed to be.

I feel like I’ve only begun to appreciate the genius of the movies I watched as a kid now that I’m an adult. This movie is so sophisticated and works on so many levels. It’s literally a kids movie that managed to sneak a torture scene into it (like what the hell). It covers basically every genre; comedy, romance, superhero’s, crime drama and action thriller. Also has a heap of mature themes that resonate well with adults and a lot of moments (like this one) that make you appreciate the originality of the story and its emotional core

I feel like if modern movies based around a ‘strong female character’ emulated Elastagirl, I reckon the movies would be more well received and the characters would be more well liked

Violet: “You heard her.” Helen warns: “They will kill you if they get the chance.” She tells Violet: “I’m counting on you. Be strong.” I love the way her hair looks in the firelight. Violet calls “Mom!” & she stops. She quiets her: “Sh. It isn’t your fault. It wasn’t fair for me to suddenly ask so much of you.” I love the way her hair shines in the moonlight, & “And doubt is a luxury we can’t afford anymore, sweetie. You have more power than you realize, ” “If the time comes, you’ll know what to do. It’s in your blood.” Violet looks down at her mask, thinks about her mom’s words, then moves her hair & dons it bravely.

Being a hero isnt about having the glory, having special abilities, or having all the fame. Even you think its a game, its not, its the real world. There are people out there who'd want to play "god" and get to choose who lives and who dies. But those who are gracious and have a great mindset are never selfish and cares about others before themselves. Those who are pure of heart makes sure that everyone gets that choice, not just one person.

Heroes arent always perfect and can't save everyone, but at least they keep on doing what they believe in. Elastagirl knows that, and now Violet now knows its time to grow up and take responsibility.

I can defend myself. If I end up in a situation like this, I would try to fight back if peaceful resolutions fail. To shoo them away. If I get chased by a thug, I'll be try to hide away or run away fast as I can. To make sure, I'm no longer being chased. I can defend myself. But, I am intuitive, extraverted, curious, have spatial awareness, get mad a little bit, happy, a crybaby, passionate, and need attention.
