I mean if you've read the books seen the movies and you've seen Harry's thoughts and felt his feelings than you kind of already know this, the fact that he couldn't see the thestrals until the 5th book/movie proves this because he didn't understand what it meant to have witnessed something so tragic and the loss of someone he didn't know very well but knew he was a good person and that voldemort killed him when he felt it should've been him all along was his turning point, he comprehended that death and tragedy would follow him from then on and he knew he had to do something to stop it to prevent it to try and save those around him because he felt it was his fault.

Harry can hear his mother screaming on the train in PoA.

here is the point where the theory goes to the trash.
why would the worst memory of voldemort being Lily evans screaming in agony?

if nothing else, voldemort's worst memory would be his death.

by the way, harry saw that memory at the begining of his third year. almost two years before cedric's death (end of his fourth year)

remember, harry's memory isn't of his mother's death. is of his mother's horror scream. his baby mind didn't understood what death meant. that's why he couldn't see the thestrals until he saw and understood a person's death.

It's actually both.... that is why the Dementors have such an overwhelming effect on Harry that he was passing out.

I am not fan of this theory. In later PoA there are longer "Dementors" scenes, clearly describing Voldemort/James/Lilly interactions. Yes, we can tell that Voldemort worst memory (being destroyed by toddler) is just short time after Harry's worst memory (killing his parents), but I overall think it is just overthinking of JKR ex-post explanations (not blaming her much for it, she is just reacting to too much demands from fans)

I don’t know about this theory. But you are right J.K. Said as an infant Harry could not process death. That is why he couldn’t see the thestrals till much later on in the series

James telling Lily to get to Harry and get out, saying "its him" happened before Voldemort entered the house. So no, it's not the Horcrux. I think its the first (and technically last) time Harry heard his parents truly terrified.

Need a psychological and spiritual educations. Just because ppl were are babies while traumatized live experiences doesn’t mean it never happened. It happened and have a huge impact on these adults babies. Through good meditation, visualization we are able to remind even the day we were still in mom belly.

As a therapist with some skills in trauma treatment, I disagree. Harry may not Consciously recall that experience and may not have comprehended death in a rational way until some time after Cedric's demise, but our body doesn't forget anything. The most traumatic memories are locked in our bodies with no access to consciousness and narrative recollection, and this is exactly what makes them traumatic. So yes, the scream Harry hears is this traumatic bodily memory of his own resurfacing, and by resurfacing it poses the chance to process it, as him becoming able to cast his Patronus in a form that is strongly associated with his father may symbolize.

OR it could mean that JK rollings bat shit insane since she also said that “harry really is a gay black male” but was prevented from portraying as such during the filming of the movies. Even though she was only an honorary adviser for the films if anything. She also stated that harry should have ended up with hermiony even though she was the one writing the damn book

They also use that shared perspective/memories with the snake that is another horcrux in the movies. Like in that scene where arthur weasley get attacked by the snake in the order of phoenix.. or when voldemort reunite with barty crouch jr in the goblet of fire and you see the scene through the eyes of the snake approaching to the room. But i don't remember if that is part of the books and intentional..

See all the prophesies in glass orbs? Neville Longbottom’s mother tried to communicate by handing her son a packet of Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum…think about it

Nah, man. You theorists are working too hard. Truth is, she hadn't even invented Thestrals before book 5. But she'll pretend that she had it planned all along 😂

MavenWalsh

Depends on what memory the horcrux contains, could be the screams of Hepzibah Smith during the time Voldemort sent her packing, possobly Merope Gaunt giving birth to a young Tom Riddle 🤷‍♂️

That's deep guy and I have no doubt Rowling would agree. But the truth is she hadn't really thought of Thestrals until book 5. That wouldn't be a problem if some authors could just admit they make some things up as they go. But if you're an author that tries to pretend you had it all planned out from book one things can get messy.

So Harry’s worst fear doesn’t exist? The horcrux is more sentient than Harry? Harry doesn’t have any fear then? Hmm interesting but doesn’t hold pumpkin juice…

Regardless of what JK Rowling said a human baby has the memories of everything that happened to them from the instant their brains develop within the womb, so baby Harry has the memories of the night his parents were killed that is a reality regardless of what JK says.
Your brain has a storage capacity larger than the 10 most powerful supercomputers if not more and from the moment your brain develops in the womb you have memories of everything whether you can access them or not is another thing
