Whether you are an outfitter or just a lover of wall tent camping, you will be hard pressed to find a wood burning system that has the value added features of the Alpine Heavy Duty Cylinder Cooking System . There is no fiddling around after the purchase trying to find a damper, internal log grate, spark arrestor, or accessory shelves. These items in addition to a five piece nesting pipe are included with our Alpine package.

Each component is designed to fit inside, along with the removable legs, for easy storage and transport. We have even drilled the hole for you for installing your pipe damper. A roomy cook top and door damper makes it easy to control the heat for cooking chores. If you need more hot water the stove has been designed to take a standard system water heater and it will also nest inside.

There is no comparison in this stove and the TMS "Military" stove sold on Amazon and Ebay. This stove is top quality and well worth the extra money for it.

I have been looking at this stove for over a year. I finally ordered one to use for outdoor cooking with my trailer. So far I have used it twice, I like it! Its well made, thoughtfully designed, lightweight as stoves go, compact and portable. The draw back's are minor, the way the legs get attached, the thumbscrews keep loosening causing the legs to fall off. a simple fix is to drill straight through and use pins through the legs to keep them removable. Also I will install a simple removable baffle inside under the chimney opening.  The dampener keeps moving out of position and closing, I hung a fishing weight on the dampener handle to keep it open. I would recommend it as a great addition to camping. I ordered through Amazon for under $200 shipping included!

I've had this stove for 5 years and I cook on it all the time. You should know that if you get it really hot and cook in a heavy dutch oven directly on the top, it will start to sag in the middle and you won't have a flat top anymore. I got a grate from an oven that is a couple of inches wider than the stove top and put on it to set the dutch oven on and it stopped the sagging but I haven't figured out how to fix the sag unless maybe with a torch and a bottle jack. I LOVE the stove though! I would not hesitate to get another one.

just remebered, i also welded a baffle inside, beneath the pipe hole. all these stoves need to have a baffle to help keep the flames in the stove and out of the pipe. it was really simple to do.

this stove is one of the best built. the only thing i upgraded was the stovepipe. the main reason was because its galvanized. the other was that i needed to put mine through a wall, and not the roof. adding an elbow wasnt possible, due to the pipe being inconsistent in size because it tapers. that same reason prevented fitting a rain/snow cap on top of the pipe. but, aside from the pipe, which is a minor detail really, this stove is top-notch. i just looked at a similar type stove at peavey mart. it "looked" decent, seeing the picture on the box. but once you actually saw the stove, nope. the only thing quality on it was the actual stove door. the stove itself was so thin it was sad. and it was on feet, not legs. a stove like these needs to be on legs, elevated for air circulation.

I've never vented through a canvas roof, what sort of opening and boot is used to keep canvas from combusting and keep rain or snow from coming in around the exhaust pipe? I saw the wire spark arrester mentioned in video that keeps hot ash from drifting onto canvas roof but it doesn't show how it actually goes through the canvas roof.

just curious why the F this stove comes with "galvanized" pipe? that stuff is NOT safe to burn, especially not inside an enclosed space where one might be sleeping. there's a reason they make proper black stove pipe.
