Animal Tracking from Scat

Being able to identify animal droppings can be vital when tracking animals in the wild. Naturalist John Rhyder shows us his scat collection, explaining how the size, shape, smell, location and consistency of droppings are all clues to help inform the tracker.

Thank you, I often see 'poop' when out walking where I live in rural Ireland and never know if it came from a badger, fox or pine martin, so I hope to have a better idea next time!
