Tommi Läntinen is competing in UMK22 with his song Elämä kantaa mua. It’s about change, and the courage needed to make it. NOTE: ENGLISH SUBTITLES AVAILABLE!

Tommi Läntinen is the most veteran of all UMK competitors. A musician for over 40 years, Läntinen has released several albums in different groups, performed at thousands of gigs and collaborated with countless artists.

UMK competition songs are published one at a time at midnight from 13 to 21 January in YouTube, Spotify and other music streaming services.

The winner and Finland's Eurovision representative will be selected at the UMK final on Saturday 26 February.

I didn't expect this entry to be the only one to make me cry. 😭 I first watched without translated subs and found it a very nice and feel-good song, but then I enabled the subs and they're so meaningful to me... Makes me think about my older relatives. 🥺

Oh. this is actually decent. I don't know why I'm expecting UMK's quality streak to run out at some point, but it certainly has not yet. This isn't my favourite but still in line with the quality they are presenting this year.

This one touched me in a very unique way. How can I feel so nostalgic for an era I never experienced? :'(
At the beginning I thought the old man would make me cringe a bit but finally he got me. I really enjoyed the ride on his Harley Davidson and he made me wish I knew exactly what he remembers and still gets inspiration from. Very sweet song! Maybe bitter-sweet. But still hell of a ride! And the chorus really rocks!! It's already wonderfully stuck in my head <3
