The Renaissance Apron That TESTED Me (But I Won) I How To Make An Embroidered Renaissance Apron

I made a renaissance apron to go with my renaissance dress and it almost broke me during the process, but I came out victorious.

My inspiration came from a piece of renaissance art by Vicenzo Campi, painted in 1580, known as "The Fruit Seller". This portrait features a woman of working class during the Renaissance and is very much a cottagecore dream. The process of digitizing the embroidery and making it took a while, but it paid off. Stick around for the Campi Cottage Core moment you never thought you needed, and an important message about rest and self care.

A glorious masterpiece. The final ensemble has a simplicity and harmony that belies the complexities that you conquered. Bravo.

This is so lovely! I'm glad you stuck through it - the happy look on your face when it's done is priceless.

I also talk to my fabric, and my craft supplies. They occasionally need some coaxing to do the thing. <3

I had always thought most people talked to their fabrics, sewing supplies, sewing tools and craft stuff as I do. Do you mean there are people out there that don't! I did find myself talking to my glue asking it to hurry up and hold a (sort of) wig, I'd made for a beg doll, in place.

Don't worry, other people talk to their fabrics (I do) Great video, a true testament to your patience!

Hey! When I saw the thumbnail I thought I recognised that painting.. and indeed it is that painting by Campi I was thinking of!! I study in Milan in the same building where this painting is! I love it as well as the other three scenes by Campi, so detailed and so precious :)

I think you did a great job on this apron and it was totally worth it! Thank you very much for sharing this project!!

These projects take some time and love, however long that takes. That love also is waiting for some growth in the journey too. Love this project, its beautiful.

Awesome! Though I thought that you were going to do the embroidery by hand. Silly me! And what you said in the reveal was something I needed to hear. Thank you.

"Maybe there's something between the sewing you need to do" needs to be in calligraphy and on my workbench bulletin board for Future Me to remember it's okay to not finish something right this second...!

I know this apron was an enormous struggle Amber but holy guacamole it came out so beautiful! All that time was 100% worth it. Between you and Christine, I definitely want to learn to embroider....can't start a new hobby quite yet though 😅

Great, you look adorable in this outfit. I also sewed this dress in my interpretation and I love it. You motivated me to sew and embroider such an apron. Thanks a lot for this. I sew and embroider everything by hand, so I'm very happy to have found a bigger project ❤️

This turned out so good! Also I've got a bunch of those rubber things, I find them good for sensory stuff.

I want Campi Cottage Core to become a legit aesthetic. Can we start a CampiTok to go with it?? Beautiful apron. I have some of your lace to make an apron with insertion lace (beginning of the pandemic project I have yet to start), and this video is inspiring me to maybe get started on it.
