I'm a stay-home mom and a statistician from 16 years ago! haven't been in the job market for a very long time and now I'm trying to work my way back into the data analytics job market by taking Google data analytics professional certificate. I have a lot of anxiety and fear of once I'm on a job I won't be able to effectively translate a business situation into an analytical task. YES! We need to understand the question to be answered, not just give people the report they think they want. Analysts have a deep and nuanced understanding of how data fits together and often can develop a richer analysis when the business context is understood.
