It looks that each year the American public listens to the old man's ideas and every time it is more of the same. But times have changed and the world will be shifting from the old used model that we currently have to a multipolar one where America will be only one of many instead of being at the centre.

When you a 3rd world country realize that some country prints money and give it us saying that they are supreme. We will definitely give a punch.

He was rambling the whole time. That did not sound comforting.
I was not worried about the loss of the reserve currency until I just heard this. He did not sound confident at all.

Losing reserve currency status is typically the last thing that happens in a declining empire, not the first. Usually economic competitiveness, military power, education, financial market centers, monetization of the debt, and other factors need to decline significantly before the reserve currency status is lost. Similar to the dutch or British empires. We are on our way there, but probably a ways to go, America is still very competitive in some of the important categories.

Key phrase, Buffet says cryptically "Berkshire is better prepared than most." but he does not elaborate...
He totally evades the young girl's intelligent question.

Compound interest versus the American govt. Who will win? I’m going with compound interest.

The no. 1 requirement for a reserve currency is stability. Uncontrolled money printing sure throws that out the window

If the debt ceiling isn't raised on time then de-dollarization will accelerate. I can't believe elected officials aren't taking this seriously.

There is no other current reserve, he is right. BUT he doesn't realize that there is work being done for a new common currency.

Also, dollar doesn't have to be dropped overnight. All that has to happen is for most countries to drop dollar for trade between them and it's already happening. A big impact will also be growth of brics, common currency and finally Saudi dropping USD for petro

De-dollarization is not an on of process. it's gradual replacement process which is happening currently

If you are already talking it, it's happening now.
As the momentum increases in a fall into the very deep dark pit.
