Ha-joon was my professor at uni. The guy had the smallest office in the entire economics department, which was mostly orthodox. One of the few people putting out fresh ideas in the field of development economics. Top lad and great economist, glad you had him on.

It’s wild how much people ignore the bigger picture when it comes to finances. Everyone's focused on little savings here and there, but rarely do they think about the bigger moves, like using tax breaks, negotiating better rates, or even strategically using protectionism in their finances. It’s like how countries use tariffs to protect industries while they grow. People need to protect their financial growth in a similar way.

Carney in Canada has vowed to divert the Canadian reciprocal tariff income to the workers impacted by the US tariffs. This makes total sense. I hope he follows through.
