Wear Notes:
Mascara does not look THAT different without the primer…I don't think the primer is necessary!
The foundation looked okay by the end of the day…it just kind of sunk into the texture & fine lines on my skin and didn’t look spectacular. Not a fave
The blush was basically gone by the end of the day but it was gorgeous for around 5-6 hours! So might work well for an evening out but not for a full day of work.
The liquid highlight was still there but looked a bit patchy at the end of the night.
The bronzer - not a fan!
The brows did not budge ALL DAY! loved!!

Post-partum hair loss is because your hair grows and falls out in cycles and pregnancy makes all the hairs sync up in their cycle. When it comes to the hair fall bit of the cycle, all the hairs come out at once so it's more noticeable than just having random hairs falling out daily (normal hair fall). This is just one of the ridiculous facts I know that I basically never needed to know 😂

I’d love to see the same with Neutrogena! I never hear anyone talk about them but I have to say I love their glow primer + serum. It feels like a serum on the skin but for the first time ever my makeup has lasted all day while using it!

Jess, as someone who might want to start wearing makeup again after years of not, could you do a "hwat to buy" but do it in 3 levels of how much makeup you want to wear. Level 1 being super natural and "no makeup" makeup, level 2= light to medium coverage with maybe a full eye look including a liner, and level 3= full face of medium to full coverage with some of the extras like under eye powder and face powder, your winged eye look with the tight liner too, primer, and setting spray, etc.? I feel super lost about what to buy.

Back 6-7 years when I was first getting into makeup and first started watching makeup YouTubers, you were one of the first ones I followed because you loved the NYX Epic Ink Liner, which I knew was my favorite and you were the only one I saw talking about it. Agree about their prices being way high. That’s why I don’t have anything from Nyx. I may as well spend a few more dollars on a higher end primer. Except for the Elf putty primer! Great video!

I just bought that no7 powder per your recommendation and I cannot thank you enough! I am almost 40 and have never been able to wear a powder under my eye. I gave up trying. They were all too drying and looked cakey and awful. On a whim I added the no7 to my Target cart and it will definitely be my holy grail! Thank you so much! Love your content!

I do put a thin layer of foundation over my eyes to even everything out before putting concealer on my dark areas. I think it helps me use less concealer, so it's less cakey overall.
I do each step of eyeshadow on each eye before moving on to the next step for both, but (weirdly enough) go sock/shoe, sock/shoe...probably because it's less crossing and uncrossing of my legs, so I see it as more efficient.

What I read about postpartum hair loss is that while you are pregnant, you aren't losing your daily amount of hair that normally falls out. It all stays put while you are pregnant and then when you are postpartum, you lose all the hairs you would have normally been losing while you were pregnant so it is a lot at once. I have no idea if that's true but one of my pregnancy books said that
