Chorus Pedal Shootout: DOD Ice Box FX64, Boss CE-3, Arion SCH-1

Chorus Pedal Shootout between 3 vintage pedals:
DOD Ice Box FX64 (made in China 1998)
Boss CE-3 (made in Japan 1985)
Arion SCH-1 (made in Japan early 80's)
All 3 are analog pedals. I made presets which sounded the most like eachother so you can hear the difference between the 3, which one you like the most?

Icebox. Had it, don't know what happened to it, loved it, miss it.

DOD Icebox is nice, even with the weird knob names like cold, ice, snow and chilled or whatever. Pity these used DODs are so expensive though!

Ice Box, had this pedal before, and it is super responsive, and probably the easiest to dial in as well.

I have an old Arion i kept around. I really like it. I use it more than my Boss chorus

Holy crap the boss and arion are like 1984 in a box. Did you get them off Bryan Adams pedal board? 😆

Icebox. The Boss added too much color to the upper mids and the Arion...sounded overly effected. Maybe it was just how it was set up. I could see the DOD getting used more. I actually had an Arion many moons ago and I tossed it thinking it was just cheap sounding import rubbish.

Arion was like the original plastic "Behringer" type pedal. And they said plastic pedals would'nt last, eh?

I have the CE-3 & it's my chorus of choice for Cleans but that Arion sounded real nice, the dOD sounded a bit muffled by comparison.
