US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris engaged in a fiery debate last night. This was their first face off ahead of the 2024 elections. Trump and Harris attacked each other on a wide range of issues like economy, immigration and foreign policy. While debating on the issue of immigration, Trump slammed Harris and US President Joe Biden for "destroying the country." Harris retaliated by taking a jibe at the crowd size during Trump's rallies, a topic which is very sensitive for him. They debated about gun control as well, however, neither of them seemed to be in a favour of a complete ban. Talking about the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, Trump attacked Harris for not being able to prevent the Ukraine war. He also slammed Harris for not being able to finalise a ceasefire plan for Gaza. Trump also raised the issue of the US' "chaotic" exit from Afghanistan, which paved the way for Taliban's return in the country. I like Firstpost and Palki's show. The reason is simple. Great analysis, data statistics, decent coverage of global issues and policy of no-fiery debates. That is really nice.
However, what I do not like is the opinion pieces on almost everything. It appears like a debate with no opponent and very one-sided.
Sometimes I find the arguments unfairly tilted towards unnecessary feminism. I acknowledge the patriarchal hypocrisy in many walks of life and I do think many of these agendas might be important, but taking an 'activist' approach all the time seems unconvincing to me.

(BTW it took me more than 20 mins to draft this. So please respect my time by reading the feedback)
