Drogba’s game play was so much more than just goals..he was the ultimate focal point..the one person you could just ping any sort of ball to and he’d bring you into play..he died down a whole lot of pressure ending games this way.
His goal stats, while not bad don’t do him justice at all..he could probably not get himself a chance at goal all game but he sure would bring everyone in to get theirs.

I will never forget Chelsea vs Barca semifinals when chelsea won the ucl, Drogba went back and basically played fullback, then on counters he would run out to play striker, it was insane, he got my respect for life right then and there

Drogba doesn’t get the flowers he deserves but true ballers know how good he was. Back when I was young I’d do his celebration after scoring and it just felt so natural and good to do it.
