Thanks for this video; I'm beginning to learn Russian, and I've been using it to practice how to connect the letters. This video has been so useful for me, using it with a notebook. You have a beautiful voice. I could recognize those phrases at the end; I've been using them, and it was amazing when I could write them, and identify them.

I have enjoyed learning from your videos. They are so very, very well done; clear and simple! Did I say clear?! Thank you for sharing these!

When you teach your students, do you have them take notes in print or cursive? Or is it their preference? Curious what you "require" or "suggest" at collegiate level. спосибо!

11:49, I read on another site that "m" and "t" are given a stroke to avoid confusion: the "m" gets a horizontal stroke over the top, and the "t" underneath. Is this correct?

Thank you very much for the tutorial. Your web page that accompanies this video is helpful also. I don't think I will cry when trying to learn, but I am afraid of the long-term adverse psychological symptoms that may linger in my sub-concious.🍏

I have a question about this: when I write in the Latin alphabet, I tend to write similar to block letters. In my handwriting, I tend to separate most letters and most characters don't look as I was taught at school as a kid, but they are like printed letters (more or less). So, my question is: does this happen in Russian? I mean: everybody has to write cursive when they write in Russian or some people have different handwritings and some may look like block letters the same way as I do in the Latin alphabet? I hope my question makes sense. Thanks for your videos, as always. :)

Thanks.
I've originally scheduled learning cursive six months after I decided to learn Russian, but six months after I my listening comprehension is still poor and I still can't understand anything.
Now, it's still hard for me but I think it's just a right time to move to Russian writing now.

I was learning russian some 40 years ago and it became automatic to write this kind of cursive. I never used block letters. Now I miss this ability and want to learn again and write russian with a real ink pen.
