Thank you for this, I've been eyeballing the M2 in Sao Paulo Yellow online, and finally here it is with the silver finished wheels (vs black which looks good, but to me this is better)... Such a good looking car and I know it looks way better in person. Drove a grey M2 manual and it was fantastic!

I've got a grigio telesto coming this month, black wheels with carbon roof. I instantly dismissed the sao paolo because imo it doesn't work on the M3/M4, but it does look really bold on the M2... however just like java green I think it'll be too "look at me" and I'd personally grow to hate colour after living with it for more than a few months, I'm thinking it looks appealing now because it's new and different. Grigio is a colour I've loved for years, I fell in love with a Grigio Medio M4 years ago and Telesto is quite similar, plus it's a Lamborghini colour whilst the Medio is Ferrari... on the other hand the likes of Voodoo Blue is a Toyota colour. Some people might think its snobby and vain to consider that but of course you do. I also really liked Twilight Purple but it's shared with the regular 2 Series, and the Frozen colours are INSANELY attractive but apparently a nightmare to maintain just like black. Either way, I think they've nailed it with this gen of the M2. It's p*ssed me off a little that they've already anounced/released the new 2 series grand coupe with an even more modernised interior whilst a brand new G87 LCI still has this interior, but it is what it is. Can't wait to own one of these things, I had a F83 M4 competition convertible a few years ago and have since been driving an Audi Q7 which was has been the worst car I've ever owned, the excitement to get back into a M car is overwhelming!

I refer to that colour as ‘tennis ball yellow’ - same yellow / green going on. Great colour if you’re going to track it but on your trip to Sainsbury’s…? Not so sure. Plenty of options with the facelift if this doesn’t appeal.

The flat bottomed steering is mega improvement but I would spec it in leather.

What do you guys think about this compared to the new Audi RS3? At first no contest, but with the audi refresh it looks much better imo. Plus the carbon seats look good. It is a little cheaper and faster (at least to 60) and would be a far better choice with the awd for someone like me that drives one car year round where you can get snow and ice in the winter. Yeah I know you can get another set of wheels with better tires (which I've done for years) or get a winter beater, but thats an added expense. The only drawback is it is a 4 door as I'm single and don't need the extra doors.

Dealbreaker for me is no xdrive option and ugly infotainment screen with lack of physical buttons and knobs!
