When you say transaction switch, does it mean switches like Connex, IST ? What is the role of Schemes here? Just forwarding txns to Issuer?

Excellent series of videos. Can you explain how would be the messaging between a point of sale computer and a pin pad? For example, a transaction is initiated at a point of sale computer (POS) that has a pin pad connected via a serial port. What would be the ISO 8583 message the POS has to send to the pin pad in order to get the card information back and then use it in the POS to create the message sent to the Schema?
