This site provides a mini-lecture series related to the art and science of public health by Dr. Wally J. Bartfay. This is part II of a lecture related to the role of epidemiology in public health. We examine the traditional epidemiological triangle for communicable disease as well as the updated and expanded epidemiological triangle for noncommunicable diseases as well along with various common epidemiological measures (e.g., mortality, incidence, prevalence rates, attack rates, relative risk and odd ratios).
