Uhhh make a prequel with great backstorys and unanswer questions from the main game make a sequel with new characters in the same universe and mechanics

Personally I would just make a different game unrelated to the other game but make it horrible as hell but make it seem amazing to the guy and say he will get all credit so when that horrible game is being absolutely crushed on social media he gets all the blame
