Oh boy this brings back memories... Every time I come back to STO I'm in awe with how much things have changed since the Pay2Play days.

I still think this intro is better than the current one.

I actually prefer this opening scene, and the original tutorial for that matter, than the current ones. This one pretty much sums up a lot of things that happened after Nemesis, and pretty much the Kelvin Timeline as well, it introduces you to the post-Nemesis timeline of events pretty well and gives you, the player, more of a spotlight. Instead of being a cadet freshly out of the Academy, you've been serving for a certain time on your vessel, which kinda gives us more time to actually Roleplay as our character, filling in many adventures we might have had in the past whilst serving on Starfleet.

Plus, who doesn't love the Borg? And letting them be our first enemy, as well as giving us a worthy introduction to our ship and character is an awesome way to start the game, and it also lets us know that we're in for quite a ride in the 25th Century.

Isent it nice that in the last scene the borg are concentrating thire fire on a obviously doomed ship. and not the perfectly wworking one next to it
