A central figure within New York City’s electronic music community, Phil Moffa is renowned as a go-to mixing and mastering engineer, the studio owner of the beloved hub Butcha Sound Studios, a revered artist/producer in his own right, and an educator and mentor teaching studio production at both SUNY Purchase and Brooklyn College. Connecting all of the aforementioned, his latest project is uniquely collaborative and intergenerational: the “Second Foundation” Remixes EP features Phil’s music as re-imagined by a quartet of prodigiously talented remixers several years his junior - AceMo, Photay, Alredna and Zianni Orange - all of whom are either former or current students of his production masterclass.
