Imagine if your car mechanic said, 'There's a problem with cars. It only effects a few, and the fix is risky, and may destroy the car, but we are applying that fix to all cars brought in, even those that don't need it... and you can't sue me if your car self-destructs after wards.' Crazy right? Why does it make any more sense when you apply it to medicine?
