when i heard this i heard nan guo and just thought it meant "difficulties, problems" 难过 but in your text you list it as "sad"
well, we can all imagine poor Mike a leftover lad(!) (China's first! Welcome to the Zhairen Clan!) sad at someone else's wedding... but i thought the difficulties were more along the lines of "too drunk to drive". Are both interpretations correct?

Why is the narration subtitled in pinyin but not characters? You can see that it was written in characters and then converted because there is a mistake (hái instead of huán for 还）. I'm curious why you think only giving the pinyin is better?

I find it so hard to hear the little filler words between the main subject and noun/adjective words. All just seems impossible to pick it up.
